Marcelo da Luz, owner of the Power of One (xof1.com) world record breaking Solar Car, walked and pulled his car 475km from Toronto to Ottawa May 1-28, 2012, to “inspire and challenge people to change something, anything, in their lives, for 28 days, to help the environment.”
He can not drive his Solar Car in Ontario due to a ban on experimental solar cars in the province (the only jurisdiction in North America with such a ban).
On May 26, he reached Kanata and attended the Grade 8 Solar Sprint Challenge at Jack Donohue Public School
On May 27, he reached Parliament Hill.
On May 28, Marcelo attended the monthly meeting of EVCO, to give a public presentation and show his car.
